Professor Ytrebø`s broad experience includes experimental studies of acute liver failure in pigs, clinical studies of perioperative medicine including sepsis, pain, nutrition, and peripheral nerve blocks. Current research interests are centered around pathogenesis and pathobiology of acute kidney injury. Specifically focusing on glomerular filtration markers, proximal tubule function, glomerular-tubular feedback systems and renal metabolism.
