CASE 2016
Registration is closed

(Russian participants must apply before January 15, 2016 in order to secure visas)
Who may apply:
Preferably PhD students from Canada, USA, Russia or Norway, but Master students from the same countries could also be considered.
The main goal is to prepare young scientists for particular challenges related to conducting science in the High North. Other goals are to create an arena where these young scientists may interact with senior scientists who are experienced in High North issues, in addition to building networks with other international students that have similar challenges. Throughout the week, senior scientists will be available to supervise on specific requests the students might have.
The main topics of the course will be human health related to environmental impacts, lifestyle choices, food security, climate change and practical statistical methods.
Venue
The venue for the summer school is Land's End Resort on Homer’s Spit on the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula.
Expenditures
The summer school is free of charge and includes accomodation and meals. Participants will also be alotted a maximum amount for airfare (dependent on country of origin). Any extra expenses while travelling, such as hotels, taxi or meals will not be covered. Please contact your countries representative for booking and details.
