Governance of Land and Natural Resources in Sápmi – a legal approach

By aiming to produce concrete recommendations for non-Sámi–Sámi co-governance of land and natural resources, the research project generates research-based knowledge that will enable the state of Norway better to safeguard their international law obligations towards the Sámi, and thus support the Sámi people to strengthen and develop their own culture. In such way, the project meets the primary objective of the Sámi Research Work Programme 2017-2027 (SÁMISK III, p. 9).
