Teaching in Political Science, including international relations, comparative politics (China, Asia-Pacific, Oceania, Polar Regions), security studies and comparative political economy.

- China (domestic and international politics) and East Asia (Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Pacific Islands), Polar Politics (Arctic and Antarctica)
- Traditional / non-traditional security studies, including economic security
- Comparative international and regional organisation, theory and practice
- Comparative Asian approaches to international relations and international political economy
