Guri Skeie


Stillingsbeskrivelse

Guri Skeie er professor i ernæring ved Institutt for samfunnsmedisin. Ho er medlem i forskingsgruppa Systemepidemiologi, forskar først og fremst på samanhengen mellom kosthald og kreft, for ein stor del ved hjelp av epidemiologiske analysar i Kvinner og kreft-studien, men også i andre studiar. Ho leiar den norske delen av EPIC-studien (European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition), og sit i leiargruppa til Kvinner og kreft-studien. Skeie er UiT sin representant i styringsgruppa til NutriNOR, den nasjonale forskarskolen i ernæring. Frå 2024 er ho nestleiar i Nasjonalt råd for ernæring. Skeie var sterkt involvert i opprettinga av bachelorstudiet i ernæring og masterstudiet i klinisk ernæring ved UiT, og underviser på dei fleste åra på ernæringsstudia.

    Forskningsinteresser

    Eg forskar først og fremst på nordisk kosthald, særleg i samband med kreft, men også andre helseutfall. Mange av prosjekta mine har vore på Kvinner og kreft-studien og ulike samarbeidsprosjekt med utgangspunkt i Kvinner og kreft. Målet er å bidra til evidensbaserte kostråd og helsefremjande arbeid med utgangspunkt i sunt kosthald. Gjennom Kvinner og kreft-studien er eg med i European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition, eit stort nettverk som jobbar med å finna årsaker til kreft og bidra til kreftførebygging. 

    I tillegg har eg interessert meg for vekt, vektutvikling og slanking, både blant barn/unge og vaksne. Eg har også drive noko metodisk arbeid retta mot val av metodar for innsamling av kosthaldsdata, og matvaredatabasar.

    Undervisning

    Eg underviser først og fremst på bachelor programmet i ernæring og masterprogrammet i klinisk ernæring. I tillegg har eg noko undervisning på profesjonsstudiet i medisin og master i folkehelse. 

    Eg har kursansvar for masteroppgåva i klinisk ernæring (ERN-3950). Eg underviser også i:
