Welcome to the biennial conference of the American Studies, to be held at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, 24-26 September 2020.
ASANOR was founded in 1974 through the support of the American Embassy and has remained the nation´s largest scholarly organization devoted to promotion of knowledge about the US in Norway, working with secondary school teachers, professors and graduate students to produce new knowledge about American literature, history, culture and politics.
We invite scholars of literature, history, political science, education, media studies and others to address the theme: “Truths, Facts, Fictions and Falsehood in American Studies.”
In spite of the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, we are still hoping to hold the conference as planned. Recognizing that travel may be difficult for some people, we are happy to also offer digital participation options via Zoom.
