The OCEAN INCUBATOR NETWORK welcomes a new intern: Federica Alcibiade, from the Department of Earth Sciences, Unito
Federica is 26 years old and a young professional with a diverse and rich academic journey. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Languages, and after gaining valuable life experiences, she decided to focus on what she truly loved: the environment and living beings. To pursue this passion, she spent a year studying Biology, Ecology, and Earth Sciences, with the aim of continuing her studies in a master’s program in Natural Sciences. However, when the time came to choose a Master’s course, Federica discovered a new degree program at the University of Turin in Environmental and Economic Sustainability. This program encompassed many of her interests, combining her love for the environment with economic and social aspects. She is now a sustainability student, as she felt that this new program provided the perfect blend of her passions.
Outside of her academic life, Federica enjoys hobbies that bring balance and creativity to her routine: she loves crocheting, regularly works out to stay active, and spends time outdoors, drawing inspiration from the natural world that she cherishes so deeply. Her lifestyle her passions are perfectly consistent with the path she is following and the difference she would like to bring to the world.
Federica sends her warmest regards with this quote: “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” - Jane Goodall
