ECOCARE Announces Participation in the Living Laboratory of the Ocean Incubator Network

ECO_CARE is thrilled to announce its participation in the upcoming Living Laboratory event as part of the Ocean Incubator Network, set to take place on May 2-4, 2024, in Copenhagen, at The Arctic House. ECO_CARE members including Margherita Poto, Laura Vita, Juliana Hayden, Emily Murray, and Ana Maria Montana will be actively engaging in this innovative and experiential workshop.

The Living Laboratory is designed to be an immersive experience, and we are delighted to have Valentina Russo, our ECO_CARE illustrator, on board once again. Valentina has created stunning illustrations that will bring to life the concept of a "living book," enhancing the visual and educational journey for all participants.

During the three-day event, participants will be divided into three groups, each focusing on a critical theme: Positionality, Inter-cross-transdisciplinarity, and Co-creation. These themes will be explored in depth, with a special emphasis on the Arctic Ocean, highlighting its unique significance and the challenges it faces.

Central to our work at ECO_CARE are two main aspects: water protection and emotional education. These elements are integral to our approach and will be woven throughout the activities of the Living Laboratory. Our commitment to these issues reflects our broader mission to foster a sustainable and emotionally sensitive approach to environmental care.

The Ocean branch of ECOCARE is flourishing, and we are excited to see it grow through initiatives like the Living Laboratory. We invite all interested parties to learn more about this event and our ongoing efforts by visiting our website: https://en.uit.no/project/oceanincubator?p_document_id=825599.
