Circulus will move concrete up the waste pyramid

CIRCULUS deals with the recycling and reuse of concrete. Concrete is one of the most widely used building materials today and is responsible for about 7% of the world's total CO2 emissions. The background to the project is the upcoming requirements within the EU (which includes Norway) to recycle at least 70% of so-called non-hazardous construction and demolition waste, including concrete. The construction industry, municipalities and other stakeholders are therefore facing a forthcoming change in the way this type of construction waste is handled.
