Gor Samvel

Stillingsbeskrivelse

Gor Samvel is Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action postdoctoral researcher at the UiT-Arctic University of Norway, Faculty of Law. His Marie-Curie project on radical environmental movement tests the hypothesis of plural normativity of enforcement of international environmental law.

Gor has led and participated in research projects, funded by the Research Council of Armenia and Norwegian Research Council on the role of local institutions in environmental management, climate suitable and integrated seed systems.

He holds a PhD in international law and political science from the Geneva Graduate Institute, a research degree from Yerevan State University, master’s degrees in law from Ghent University and Yerevan State University. In 2018-2019 he was a visiting scholar at Duke University School of Law under the Swiss National Science Foundation Doc.Mobility program. For a brief period, Gor Samvel has been a visiting professor at Yerevan State University, Faculty of Law.
