Professor in Glaciology at the Department of Geosciences at UiT, and Director of the Norwegian Centre of Excellence: iC3 - Centre for ice, Cryosphere, Carbon and Climate


Interested in the role of changing glaciers and ice sheets in regulating global biogeochemical cycles, and in influencing critical services upon which human lives and livelihood depend – from water quality to fisheries and crop-based agriculture.


Responsible for the ICe, Oceans and cliMate Lab (ICOM) in the Department of Geosciences.  
Professor at the University of Bristol, UK (part-time)
