Professor in marine ecology focusing on Arctic zooplankton biodiversity, food webs and the biological carbon pump. 

Leader of the Bachelor program in Biology at AMB, course leader of Bio-2513 marine biodiversity. 

University pedagogics and PhD supervision course from 2015.

    Forskningsinteresser

    Jeg forsker på marint dyreplankton i nordlige farvann, med et spesielt fokus på deres sesongvariasjon, økologi og funksjon.  Jeg intersserer meg også for hvordan dyreplankton kan påvirke karbonkretsløpet i havet, for eksempel ved å kontrollere utsynking av organisk karbon (den såkalte biologiske pumpen) fra den produktive delen av havet. 

    Min forskning omfatter også rollen til dyreplankton i perioder med lavere pelagisk produktivitet, med fokus på koblingen mellom kopepoder og mikrobielle næringsnett i Arktis.
