Health, Art and Society (HAS)
Health, Art and Society is an interdisciplinary research group working on patient narratives. The narratives are both documentary and fiction,mediated by patients or relatives and represented in texts as well as in other artistic expressions. HAS was established in 2015 and is working within the field of health humanities. The group is located at The faculty of humanities, social sciences and education at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
Professor II Mathías Martinez is visiting from the University in Wuppertal.
All events will take place at A-3021 in the SVHUM-building.
Monday Dec 3rd:
10.15-12.00: Ph.d. seminar/guestlecture „Does reading literature make us better persons?“
13.00-15.00: Individual ph.d. supervision
Tuesday Dec 4th:
10.15-11.00: Meeting with Cathinka and Linda about the special volume of «Sygdom og samfund»
11.00-12.00: HAS-meeting discussing plans for a symposium at UiT spring 2020 followed by a special volume of “Diegesis”
13.15-15.00: Guest lecture: "Lose weight! Get stronger! Eat better! Concepts of healthy selves in health websites"
