Jeg er interessert i mangfoldet og biologien til mikrobielle samfunn, og spesielt sopper som finnes i det marine miljøet. I min forskning fokuserer jeg på dyrkbarhet av mikrober og soppdimensjonen til marine mikrobiomer (økologi, biosystematikk). Med forskningen min bidrar jeg til biodiscovery av nye naturstoffer innen Marbio forskningsgruppe og Senter for nye antibakterielle strategier (https://uit.no/research/cans).
