Neelu Singh

Dr. Neelu Singh is the iC3 Director Support Coordinator for the iC3 (Centre for Ice, Carbon, Climate and Cryosphere), based at the Department of Geosciences at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. With a PhD in Marine Geochemistry and over eight years of experience in polar regions, she combines scientific understanding with strong coordination skills to support iC3’s research, communication, and strategic initiatives.
Before joining UiT, Neelu worked with the Norwegian Polar Institute and the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (India), contributing to projects across the Arctic, Antarctic, and Southern Ocean. She also served as Secretary of the Marine Working Group(MWG) at the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) and has held leadership roles with the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) and Polar Educators International (PEI).
Outside of work, Neelu enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young daughters and finds joy in cooking traditional Indian food. She believes that staying curious, working together, and keeping a good balance between work and life are key to both meaningful research and a happy life in the Arctic.
