Is Open Science for us?

Open Science is an ideal for research, but what about qualitative research? What about research with so called vulnerable groups? How can we protect our study participants and our data if the research should be open?

The Artful Dementia Research Lab (ADLab) at the Centre for Women's and Gender Research has over the last years served as a pilot on these issues for the UiT University Library.

As part of the EU-project "DocEnhance" the University Library produced a series of interviews about Open Science. In this session we will present the interview ADLab researchers took part in.

In cooperation with Research Librarians Helene N. Andreassen and Aili Sarre from the University Library, and Advisor on Digital Support for Research, Erik Axel Vollan, the Artful Dementia Research Lab developed a way of thinking and working with Open Science in qualitative, sensitive research.

In this recorded interview, conducted by Senior Advisor Aysa Ekanger from the University Library, Senior Researcher Lilli Mittner and Professor Ann Therese Lotherington reflect on what it might mean to engage with Open Science in qualitative, arts-based research with people living with dementia.

The interview will be followed by updates about the recent developments on Open Science, Q & A, and an open dicussion.
