We are excited to invite you to the next UiT Environmental Humanities network meeting with a presentation and discussion on how understanding places through auditory knowledges can influence the living and dying of humans and other than humans.
Meeting Agenda
Sensing places: Listening cannot be separated from feminist activism and political practices. Until now, however, political and feminist listening approaches have been mostly anthropocentric; queer ecologies again have neglected listening both as an art form (which is an important epistemological means in feminisms) and as a tool of democracy and activism. In this presentation, Prof. Lisa Katrin Losleben will bring together these knowledges and advocate on the so developed ground for a sensory approach to places.
