PhD Candidate Yasaman Anberstani joins SPRISK
Yasaman Anbarestani holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering (2015) and an MSc in Control and Signals Engineering (2019). Anbarestani has developed expertise in mathematical modelling and simulation and optimization techniques, predictive control, safety and reliability analysis. More recently, she has expanded her knowledge by taking courses in ICT and Internet Engineering, broadening her skill set in emerging technologies. On 1 September 2024, Anbarestani joined the Department of Technology and Safety as a PhD candidate at SPRISK project. During her PhD research, Anbarestani contributes to maritime safety and operational efficiency and furthers her scientific competence by analysing the vessel Automatic Identification System (AIS) data and the prevailing metocean conditions using advanced AI techniques to develop risk-informed decision-making metrics for fishing vessel operations in the Norwegian Arctic waters with harsh meteorological and oceanographic conditions.
