The Argonautes meeting in Copenhagen

Meeting in Copenhagen brings together world leading scientists on small RNA biology

Between the 21st and the 24th of August the Argonautes conference in Copenhagen took place bringing together leading small RNA biologists working with the Argonaute proteins from bacteria, protists, plants and animals.

Very interesting presentation on structures and functions of these proteins along with their cargo: siRNAs, piRNAs or "our" microRNAs where followed by patients reports from people with mutations in these crucial proteins.

The Fromm lab took part with Bastian and guest Alexander to foster exchange and future collaborations and to learn more about enrichment of Argonaute proteins.

The inclusion and interaction with patients and their families showed how relevnat basic research is!
