Ar2CorD Researcher Presents at the 18th International Clay Conference in Dublin
Professor Priyadharshini Perumal from the Ar2CorD project at the University of Oulu represented the team at the 18th International Clay Conference (ICC 2025), held at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, from 13–18 July 2025.
Professor Priyadharshini Perumal, a key researcher in the Ar2CorD project at the University of Oulu, participated in the 18th International Clay Conference (ICC 2025) hosted at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, from 13–18 July 2025. The conference, themed “Sustaining Clays,” gathered researchers from across the world to discuss the role of clays in sustainable development and resource management.
Priya delivered an oral presentation titled “Performance of thermo-mechanically activated Finnish clay: Analysis of reactivity, chemical and mineralogical changes.” Her presentation showcased innovative methods being developed within AR2CORD to improve the reactivity of natural clays and promote environmentally friendly construction materials.

In addition to presenting, Priya attended several technical sessions and networked with international experts and industry professionals. Her participation strengthened AR2CORD’s international collaborations and highlighted the University of Oulu’s contribution to advancing sustainable clay research.
