Forskerskolen AMGG blir nasjonal

Forskerskolen i Arktisk Marin Geologi og Geofysikk får nå status som nasjonal, etter en bevilging på 24 millioner kroner over åtte år, skriver instituttleder Morten Hald:

National Research School in Climate Dynamics has been funded with 24 mill NOK for 8 years.
The Research School in Arctic Marine Geology and Geophysics in Tromsø joined a proposal to the Research Council of Norway for a national research school 2009-2016, coordinated by Tore Furevik, Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen / Bjerknes Centre for Climate.   

This proposal has been now been funded.  The national consortium behind the school consists of:  Geophysical Institute (GFI-UiB), Department of Earth Sciences (GEO-UiB), Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research (BCCR), Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Centre (NERSC),  Institute of Marine Research (IMR), Department of Geosciences (GEO-UiO), Norwegian, Meteorological Institute (met.no), Department of Geology (IG-UiT), Norwegian Polar Institute (NPI), and University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS).
