Canon Foundation Research Fellowships to Japan

The Canon Foundation offers Research fellowships to highly qualified European and Japanese researchers holding a doctorate or at least a master's degree regardless of discipline. Deadline: 15 September 2012.

They are eligible during the ten-year period following the successful completion of their Ph.D. or MA degree. Extensions to the ten-year rule are possible in principle in case of exceptional circumstances. This should be clarified in the application and documents supporting this should be enclosed. non-nationals have to have a permanent citizenship in either Europe or Japan.

European Fellowship holders pursue their research period in Japan and Japanese do their research period in Europe. The Fellowships are awarded for periods of minimum three months and maximum one year. Financial support for Fellows ranges between 22,500 to 27,500 euros per year and pro-rata for different periods.

The completed application forms should be sent to the Secretariat by the deadline of 15 September. Please note all correspondence and applications should be made in English!
