Title: Building cyber resilience and protecting patients in a digital world
Lecturer: CSO Knut-Øyvind Johansen, Helse Nord IKT HF

Abstract
As healthcare becomes increasingly digital, the securing of patient data and clinical systems is no longer just a technical concern, it is a matter of patient safety and trust. Helse Nord IKT is responsible for developing, operating, and managing ICT systems for all hospitals in Northern Norway. 20,000 users and a diversity in applications and Operational Technology (OT) devices lead to a complex digital environment. In this presentation I will give some insights in how our organization works to strengthen cyber resilience and prepare for an ever-changing threat landscape. I will share my view upon important cyber security focus areas, our analysis of the threat landscape, and why we to protect patients and trust are working towards a zero-trust framework.

Bio
Knut Øyvind Johansen has been CSO at Helse Nord IKT HF since January 2021. He has a background from the Norwegian Armed Forces and served 15 years as officer in the army at the Intelligence Battalion. Johansen has a bachelor’s degree in telematics (Army), a MSc degree in technology management (NTNU), and education from the Norwegian Military Academy.
