Exchanged experiences in Paris
UiT has this week participated in the EUGLOH meeting at the University of Paris-Saclay.
Among the things the representatives from UiT have done is to have a meeting with the secretariat of EUGLOH, a university alliance with nine European universities, which sits at Paris-Saclay.
Vice Chancellor for Education at UiT, Kathrine Tveiterås and department director Julia Holte Sempler have had meetings with the new president at Paris-Saclay, Camille Galap and vice president for international relations and EUGLOH coordinator, Delphine Placidi-Frot.
"It is exciting to talk about ambitions for EUGLOH, and about global health in the broadest sense. Several representatives from UiT have been here to exchange experiences related to, among other things, the reception of both foreign students and employees", says Tveiterås.
Norwegian muffins that are trending
It was perhaps a little surprising that the Norwegian delegation was served muffins that the Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen trended with during the Olympics in Paris this summer.
"They are made at Paris-Saclay, and have apparently become very popular. We were served such muffins, and a picture of Christiansen was also hung up", says Holte Sempler.
