Stillingsbeskrivelse
The primary focus of my research is to deepen our understanding of the neurobiological basis of mind wandering. I am especially interested in achieving mechanistic representations that explain how neurobiological systems give rise to spontaneous cognitive processes. To achieve this, I use multidisciplinary approaches that combine different modalities and techniques, including ultra-high field (7T) functional imaging, psychophysiology, machine learning, and cognitive modeling. By investigating the interactions between the deep brain, neuromodulatory systems, and cortical networks, I aim to more comprehensively chart the neural underpinnings of the wandering mind.
