Internasjonalt nettverk for forbedringsarbeid
Etter hvert som vår egen kompetanse har økt og vi har skapt egne erfaringer har vi hatt et sterkere behov for å spisse våre læringsarenaer inn mot vår sektor – høyere utdanning. I 2014 deltok rådgiver Frank Lindrupsen og seniorrådgiver Hege Svendsen på konferansen «Improving the student experience» om Lean i høyere utdanning arrangert av et Britisk nettverk, LeanHEHub, i Cardiff. Tilbakemeldingene fra Lindrupsen og Svendsen var helt entydige på at dette var en svært god, om ikke avgjørende, arena for oss med tanke på å lære mer om lean og forbedringsarbeid i høyere utdanning.
Etter å hatt kontakt med styringsgruppen i LeanHEHub det påfølgende året deltok UiT på nytt på konferansen i fjor, igjen med stort utbytte og flere sentrale læringspunkter for vårt eget arbeid. Under konferansen fikk vi igjen muligheten til å diskutere muligheter for samarbeid med medlemmene i Hubens styringsgruppe, noe som resulterte i et gjensidig ønske om å styrke dette samarbeidet. Vi er derfor svært glad for at UiT har fått forespørsel om, og takket ja til, å være medlem i styringsgruppen til LeanHEHub.

Many of the people who help run the Lean HE Hub wouldn’t refer to themselves as “lean”, but we all share a commitment to respect for people, to continuous improvement, and to the transformative power of Higher Education for individuals and communities at large.
