Scholarship for Master Students at UiT The Arctic University of Norway

UiT – The Arctic University of Norway offers scholarship for master thesis to students at the Department of Tourism and Northern Studies, Finnmarksfakultetet. The thesis must be relevant to the project Reason to return where UiT work together with Hurtigruten, Arena USUS, Agder research Centre on a project financed by NFR. The project Reason to return, focus upon innovation and sustainable development in culture- and tourist industries. We are concerned with knowledge, leadership and interconnection between different actors within the field of experience-economy & travel businesses.

8 Scholarships each on Nkr. 50 000,-, are provided for master thesis from the period of 2014 - 2016.

3 Scholarship are connected to the Department of Tourism and Northern Studies, Finnmarksfakultetet. Preferably you should submit your thesis before the spring 2016.The other scholarships are connected to the University of Agder, Kristiansand and ISS, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø.

We ask for casestudies within the region of Sørlandet, Vestlandet or Northern Norway that relate to our concerns. The student will be offered a position within the network of researcher and businesses that work to expand the experience economy in Norway.

In assessing the application we will emphasize the knowledge of the field, analytical capacity and writing skills. Applicants must submit a note on 1-2 pages project description, in addition to the CV, certificates and diplomas. Social science bachelor's degree must be completed during the spring semester of 2014.

For students on bachlor-level spring-semester 2014: Certificates and diplomas from spring-semester 2014 documenting Bachlor’s degree must be submitted by June 30^th.
