Election at UiT

Employees and students at UiT the Arctic University of Norway elect members to the University Board. Elections for the Board are conducted every 4 years, except for the Board Member representing the constituency temporary academic staff as well as student representatives, who are elected annually. The working language on the university board is Norwegian.

 

Election for the constituency temporary academic staff 2024

This spring an election will be conducted for a Board Member representing the constituency temporary academic staff for the period 01.08.2024-31.07.2025.

The deadline for nominations from this constituency was 25 April 2024.

The nominees

Five nominated candidates from the constituency of temporary academic staff have been approved by the Election Board on 26. April 2024. The nominees are:

  • Amalia Keck, doctoral research fellow
  • Lennart Maximilian van Ligtenberg, doctoral research fellow
  • Ragnar Alexander Seton, post-doctoral research fellow
  • Sofie Elise Quist, doctoral research fellow
  • Adele Westgård, doctoral research fellow

Election form and election results

The election is conducted electronically/digitally and the election form is preferential vote with transferable votes, where voters may rank the candidates in the order they wish the candidates to be elected.

The election is open from Thursday 23 May at 00.00 am. to Wednesday 29 May at 11.59 pm.

The election results will be announced here on 30 May at 2.00 pm.
