Giovanna Bertella is Associate Professor at the School of Business and Economics, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø (Norway). She received her PhD from the Department of Sociology, Political Science and Community Planning at UiT. Her PhD dissertation concerns learning and collaborative approaches to tourism development in rural and peripheral areas. She teaches marketing and organizational studies courses at the bachelor and master level. Her works are published in several international journals. She serves in the editorial board of Journal of Gastronomy and Tourism and in the editorial advisory board of Annals of Leisure Research.
