Stillingsbeskrivelse

For tiden jobber jeg i to forskjellige prosjekter:

50% som forsker i EU prosjektet ECOTIP, der jeg...

...jobber med det marine karbonkretsløpet og prosesser som kobler sjøis, vannsøylen, og havbunnen i fjorder og i arktiske hav

...bestimmer kvaliteten og kvantiteten på synkende biomasse med korttidssedimentfeller (organisk karbon, nitrgen, fecal pellets, Chl a, DNA,...)

...forsker på hvordan fysiske drivere påvirker den vertikale transporten av biomasse i vannsøylen og prøver å finne hvordan biologiske drivere som mikroalger og zooplankton påvirker denne transporten

    Forskningsinteresser

    Jeg er en nysgjerrig feltbiolog og det vitenskapelige arbeidet mitt fokusserer hovedsakelig på koblingen mellom hydrografi og lavere trofiske nivå (særlig alger) i fjorder og Arktiske strøk (Barentshavet, Arktisk Osean). Der prøver jeg å finne ut hvordan fysiske drivere og biologiske interaksjoner påvirker kretsløpet av organisk karbon og eksport av karbon fra vannsøylen til havbunn.
