Fahmida Jahan Fahim

Fahim is a PhD Fellow at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, affiliated with the Research Group for Child and Adolescent Health at the Department of Clinical Medicine. Her research focuses on maternal and infant health, with a particular emphasis on optimizing the identification and treatment of mastitis in breastfeeding women.
She is involved in the OPTIMIST (Optimizing Mastitis Identification and Treatment) study, working closely with Jorunn Pauline Cavanagh. In this role, she contributes to microbial and immunological analysis, aiming to improve evidence-based strategies for managing mastitis in clinical practice.
In addition to her PhD research, Fahim is engaged in capacity building and collaborative efforts to enhance maternal and child health research. Her work is dedicated to translating findings into practical interventions that support the health and well-being of mothers and infants.
