Som rådgiver for UiT`s arbeid med klima, miljø og bærekraft samler jeg en oversikt over UiT`s aktiviteter, utfører beregninger av klimaavtrykk, og jobber med koordinering og utvikling av UiTs arbeid med klima, miljø og bærekraft.

Having lived and studied in Germany, Sweden, Svalbard, Norway, and two long field seasons in North-East Siberia (Russia) - those experiences made me carry an international perspective.
A For my Masters degree in Quaternary Science and Climate Development (2011-2013, Stockholm University, Sweden), I studied frozen ground and Arctic freshwater ecology, followed by a PhD degree in Arctic Marine Geology and Geochemistry (2014-2018, UiT, Norway).
Being a project officer for APECS (2018-2020) gave me the opportunity to develop Arctic fieldwork resources and contribute to an online course about predicting and mitigating extreme climate events in the Arctic.
As a project coordinator for the SFI CIRFA (2020-2024) at the intersection of science, innovation and industry, I gained insights in how environmental research may move into real-life testing and operational use. It was exciting to see research results moving one step closer to implementation and starting to make a real life impact.
As UiT`s coordinator for climate, environment and sustainability (since 2024), I am aiming to move from what we know about climate and environmental change in the Arctic into making real life change on a local and regional scale happen.
