Dr. Somil Thakur is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Building, Energy and Materials Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Somil holds a Ph.D in Environmental Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India. His research interests include
- Water and wastewater treatment plants
- Bioenergy production
- Bio-electrochemical systems
- Renewable energy
- Microbial fuel cells (MFCs).
Given his expertise in electrochemical systems, he is currently working on the "BRIDGE" project where he focuses on the development of new techniques and methods to increase the potential of MFCs.
