Call for applications for strategic funds for project collaboration with partners in Singapore 2026

UiT invites faculties and units to apply for strategic funding aimed at strengthening collaboration with Singapore on research, education and innovation. UiT will in 2026 allocate up to NOK 600,000 from the rector's strategic funds to support established or planned collaboration with partners in Singapore.

This funding can be used to support project collaboration for UiT employees by covering travel and accommodation costs connected to meeting activities (UiT's rates apply), relationship building, application development etc.

Priority areas for cooperation: the marine area, energy, climate and environment, health/health tech. Applications concerning other academic fields may also be considered.

Each applicant can apply for up to NOK 100,000.

Applications must contain a title, a project outline and a budget. Each application must be approved by the applicant's leader (e.g. in an e-mail from the head of department, head of unit, etc.).

The application deadline is 30 January 2026.

The deadline for submitting the final project report and financial report is 10 December 2026.

The reporting deadline cannot be extended. Funds that have not been used within the reporting deadline will be requested to be returned.
