Travelling to Tromsø

There are many direct flights to Tromsø from various places in Europe. From other continents, there are also good connections, either through Oslo or through Copenhagen/Stockholm/Helsinki, Amsterdam or Frankfurt.

Where to stay

Tromsø has a large number of options when it comes to accommodation. Hotels are plentiful, but a number of them may be expensive. AirBnB is also a good option. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide campus accommodation.

The Arctic Weather

The start of November is considered a fall/winter period in the Arctic, and there is hardly any sun during this month. The first snowfall of the season happens in September or October, but the weather is very shifty, so you can expect both snow and rain. So, keep that in mind when packing.

Conference fees, meals and funding

There is no funding available for travel or accommodation, but there will not be a conference fee. The Conference dinner and meals during the conference will be provided free of charge to speakers.
