Kick-off workshop of the CARE project
Opening of the CARE project & guest talks:
August 25 (Tuesday) at 8:30–12:00, B-1005 Auditorium, SV- og HUM building
We invite everyone to an open part of the kick-off workshop of the CARE project, which aims to create an AI-powered language tutor for healthcare students and professionals with foreign backgrounds in Norway. The project is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers through the Nordic Languages Programme for 2026–2028.
The program includes presentations about the project and its background, as well as invited talks by our partners from Sweden and Denmark. The talks will cover topics such as the use of social robots in healthcare training, the role of constructions in teaching Swedish, redefining success in LLM agents, mapping learners’ needs, and motivation, feedback, and a didactic perspective on learning in the age of AI.
We will offer coffee and cookies to those attending in person, as well as a live stream for digital participants.
The event is open to anyone interested in AI, language learning, doctor–patient communication in healthcare, and innovative educational resources.
