GUIDE COURSE | Get to know the exhibitions at the Arctic University Museum of Norway | DAY 1

WHO IS IT FOR?
This course is aimed at anyone who does or want to do museum guiding professionally, e.g. working for a guide company or tour operator in Tromsø. Other employees in the tourism industry in Tromsø will also greatly benefit from following this course.  

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
The course is held  in English by the experienced and inspiring communicator Per Helge Nylund.

During the 9 hours you will learn about

• The role of a guide + what you need to know especially for this museum
• The 8 permanent exhibitions at the museum (including all the sami exhibitions and the Northern Lights) + one of the temporary exhibitions

In addition, you will receive

• Printed material for some of the exhibitions
• Favorable prices on relevant exhibition catalogues in the museum shop

• Participants who follow the whole course will receive a Course Certificate  

WHAT ARE THE DATES AND TIMES?
The course runs twice;  

• May 12 and 13, both days from 16:30-21:00 (4.30pm-9.00pm) 
• June 8 and 9, both days from 16:30-21:00 (4.30pm-9.00pm) 

It is possible to choose one date from either course if that suits you better.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
There is a course fee of NOK 500 per student, payable in the museum shop on arrival. Companies can arrange to pay by invoice.

Please include information on your prefered dates of attendance and if you represent a company/institution.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: One week before day 1 of the course.  

The class size is limited to 30 students, on a first come-first served basis. If fewer than five participants register, the course will be cancelled. In that case, registered participants will be notified.
