Out of Time, In Place is an exhibition situated in a very specific location: an art school in the Arctic, where the students Filmkunstskolen i Kavelvåg and Tromso Art Academy collaborate on doing a pop-up exhibition.
Out of Time, In Place brings together different artists experimenting with diverse themes and media in a guerrilla-style exhibition. Through light, sculpture, sound, and films addressing questions of materiality, identity, and the strangeness of our times, we invite you into an experience of life in HD and beyond. Think of a dream about what this time has to offer reshaping into something better: out of time because it has been used with intensity and density, mobilizing our attention and critical reflection often in unexpected and improvisatory ways.
