Register by October 25 for the 18th Munin Conference on Scholarly Publishing!

The Munin Conference is an annual conference on scholarly publishing and communication with a focus open access, open data, and open science. This year’s conference at UiT campus Tromsø takes place on November 8-10. Registration for on-site participants is open until 25 October. Employees and students of UiT The Arctic University of Norway are exempted from the conference fee. Link to registration form.

Themes for this year’s conference include Open Science and society, AI and scholarly communication, and new horizons in research assessment.

This year’s keynotes will tackle central issues within these themes head on:

  • Kirstie Whitaker from The Alan Turing Institute: “Safe, ethical, and open research in the age of artificial intelligence”.
  • Yensi Flores Bueso from the University of Washington, University College Cork and CoARA: “Transforming Research Assessment for an Equitable Scientific Culture
  • Hervé Dole from Université Paris-Saclay: “Science and society actions by our universities: From kindergarten to the President of the French Republic”

The is also a keynote panel on "Research Assessment – Navigating Pitfalls and Promoting Change" where UiTs own pro-rector for research and development, Jan-Gunnar Winther will participate!
