Fra 17. til 21. juli arrangerer Fakultetet for farmasi, ved Universitetet i Porto, i Portugal, et tverrfaglig kurs om forbindelsen mellom organisk kjemi og medisinsk farmasøytisk kjemi.

From 17 until 21 July the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Porto will arrange a multi-disciplinary course which will shed light on the relationship between organic chemistry and medical pharmaceutical chemistry.

Kurset har tittelen: «From Organic to chemistry to Pharmaceutical Drugs». Der vil du kunne lære mer om hvordan kjemiske strukturer og biologiske prosesser er nært knyttet sammen. Deltakere vil også få en grunnleggende innføring i organisk kjemi og hvordan dette er et relevant verktøy innen medisinsk farmasøytisk kjemi.
Målgruppen er studenter på masternivå i fag som farmasi, medisin, veterinærvitenskap, kjemi, biokjemi, biologi, farmakologi og bioteknologi.
Dette er et ERASMUS + kurs av typen Blended Intensive Program (BIP) noe som innebærer at en del av kurset holdes på nettet mens det andre delen skjer med fysisk undervisning. Det blir holdt i samarbeid med Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR), ved Universitetet i Porto, Universitetet i Barcelona (Spania), Karlsuniversitetet (Tjekkia), Gabriele d’Annunzio” universitetet i Chieti -Pescara (Italia), Universitetet i Athen (Hellas) og Universitetet i Ankara (Tyrkia).
Kurset holdes på engelsk hvor den fysiske undervisningen varer 23 timer, mens nettundervisning varer i 5 timer. Studenter mottar 3 ECTS-poeng ved å fullføre kurset.

The course is titled: «From Organic to chemistry to Pharmaceutical Drugs». There you will have the opportunity to learn more about how chemical structures and biological processes are closely related. The participants will be given a basic introduction in organic chemistry, and why this is an important tool for medicinal pharmaceutical chemistry.
The target group of the course is master students in disciplines such as pharmaceutical sciences, medicine, veterinary science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmacology and biotechnology.
This is an ERASMUS + course of the type Blended Intensive Program (BIP), which means that that it will be held online but also face-to-face. It will be arranged in cooperation with the Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) at the University of Porto, the University of Barcelona (Spain), Charles University (Czech Republic), University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti -Pescara (Italy), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece) and Ankara University (Turkey).
The course is taught in English, in a face-to-face format of 23 hours of physical teaching, with 5 hours of e-learning. Participating students who complete the course will be rewarded with 3 ECTS.
