Mulighet for automatisk videresending av e-post slås av

Etter den 15.oktober vil det ikke lengre være mulig å automatisk videresende e-post fra din UiT e-postkonto til en annen e-postkonto.

Hvem påvirkes av denne endringen?

Alle ansatte og studenter som har en e-postkonto på UiT.

Hvorfor gjør man denne endringen?

Endringen utføres som et ledd i å forbedre IT-sikkerheten ved universitetet. Tiltaket vil gjøre oss mindre sårbare for digitale angrep og redusere tap av personopplysninger og sensitiv informasjon.

Hvordan vil jeg merke endringen?

Dersom du i dag har aktivert en automatisk videresending fra din UiT e-postkonto til en annen e-postkonto, vil e-posten fra UiT ikke lengre bli videresendt til den andre epostboksen etter den 15.oktober, og du vil heller ikke få feilmelding.

Automatic forwarding of e-mail will be switched off

After 15 October, it will no longer be possible to automatically forward e-mail from your UiT e-mail account to another e-mail account.

Who is affected by this change?

All employees and students who have an e-mail account at UiT.

Why is this change made?

The change is carried out as part of improving IT security at the university. The measure will make us less vulnerable to digital attacks and reduce the loss of personal data and sensitive information.

How will I notice the change?

If you have an active automatic forwarding from your UiT e-mail account to another e-mail account today, the e-mail from UiT will no longer be forwarded to the other e-mail box after 15 October, nor will you receive an error message.
