Paulo Stanich Neto a visting scholar at the Faculty of Law, UiT, up to October 10, 2022. The Research Group of Sámi law has chosen to invite all faculty members, as Paulo has interesting thoughts on environmental protection, rainforest protection and constitutional issues in Brazil. He will be a useful contact for those who want to work on such questions aimed at Latin America.

  1. Indigenous Peoples in Brazil: General information. Environmental issues connected to the Brazilian forests. 
  2.  Legal Protection of Indigenous and Traditional: Constitution; Hierarchy of norms; Convention ILO169; Jurisprudence.
  3.  Force of preventive control of the resolution by the Supreme Court - establishment of formal vice.
  4.  Object of the research and cooperation. On legal and political issues connected with Indigenous Peoples in Brazil, including processes of consultation.
