Joint Czech-Norwegian initiative for the development of a modern mathematics education for engineers

Joint Czech-Norwegian initiative for the development of a modern mathematics education for engineers is a bilateral initiative between Brno University of Technology (CZ) and UiT - The Arctic University of Norway (NO) supported by the EEA Grants (https://www.eeagrants.cz).

Aim of the initiative: Develop, test, inform about and publish pedagogical and didactical material suited for use as teaching unit/module in a mathematics course in an engineering education program in both countries.
 
List of planned activities:

1. Develop didactical and pedagogical material and activities for students including metadata and information for teachers with an aim of facilitating for students' better learning of mathematics
 
2. Test this didactic material both in a mathematics class in Brno and Bodo/Narvik and collect and analyse data to gain information
 
3. Hold two workshops on Mathematics Education; one in Norway in spring 2021 and one in the Czech Republic in autumn 2021
 
4. Promote results/share outputs of the initiative
