I nesten to år skal seilskipet Statsraad Lehmkuhl på jordomseiling - du kan bli med!
UiB tilbyr HSL-UiT sine studenter en unik mulighet til å studere bærekraftsemnet SDG200 Hav-klima-samfunn (30 ECTS) ombord på Norges største seilskip – på reise i Stillehavet (mai–august).
Emnet tar for seg kunnskap fra ulike fagdisipliner – noe som er helt avgjørende for å løse fremtidens utfordringer. Tverrfaglighet er essensielt for å kunne løse bærekraftsutfordringer, og undervisning og læring i tverrfaglige grupper tvinger oss til å se på utfordringene fra forskjellige ståsted.
Derfor er emnet åpent for alle studenter som har minst 60 studiepoeng,

Universitetet i Oslo og UiT Norges arktiske universitet er partnere og studentene fra disse institusjonene vil i noen grad bli prioritert i opptaksprosessen.
Du må også være i god fysisk form og ha en helseattest fra sjømannslege.
Selve kurset koster ingenting, men du må betale 250 kroner per døgn i matpenger (4 måneder) I tillegg må du selv betale reisen til Chile og hjemreisen fra Palau. Totalt for mat og reise bør du regne med en kostnad på ca. 55.000 kroner.
Ved deltagelse på emnet kan du søke om én ekstra måneds lån og stipend for skoleåret 2021/2022.

During the One Ocean Expedition, the Statsraad Lehmkuhl is transformed into a state-of-the-art ship for research and education
UiB offers HSL-UiT its students a unique opportunity to study the sustainability summer course SDG200 Ocean-Climate-Society (30 ECTS) on board Norway's largest sailing ship - on a voyage in the Pacific Ocean (May-August).
The course deals with knowledge from various disciplines - which is absolutely crucial to solving the challenges of the future. Interdisciplinarity is essential and forces us to look at the challenges from different points of view.
Therefore, the course is open to all students who have at least 60 credits,

University of Oslo and UiT The Arctic University of Norway are partners whose students will have some priority in the selection process.
Applicants must also document good physical shape and submit a seafarer’s medical certificate before boarding.
The course itself is free of charge, but you must cover travel expenses for the trip to Valparaíso and return trip from Palau, including room and board expenses which amount to NOK 250 per day (4 months). In total this will add up to approximately NOK 55.000.
Participants within Norwegian educational institutes can apply for an extra month of study loan and stipend for the school year 2021/2022.
(After the selection process, the University of Bergen will inform Lånekassen about which students have been accepted to this course.)
