Take a vocal course in YOIK with Klemet Anders Buljo - a unique form of cultural expression of the Sami people!
The course will take place on Friday, the 20th of August in Lavou outside the main entrance divided in three sessions at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00.
Be aware of the limited amount: 10 students per one session, 30 students in total. You will be divided in groups beforehand.

Klemet Anders Buljo will be your mentor. He is a Sami musician, composer and music producer with more than 30 years of experience. Klemet was born and raised in a reindeer herding family. The whole family used yoik for work and leisure, and yoik was the main language in his familly. Klemet holds a higher degree in music from high school and from the Music Conservatory of Agder.
Today he works with writing songs, composing and producing music for several Sami artists and music projects. Klemet is a committed cultural communicator and experienced speaker. He conducts seminars and workshops where he talks about yoik, culture and musical traditions from Sápmi. In November 2017, as part of the duo MARET, he received the culture award from Alta municipality: "For having shown a lasting ability and willingness to make active cultural efforts beyond the ordinary." They also received the county culture award of Finnmark in 2018.
