This is an event where UiT students and other community members will have the opportunity to "meet" in an informal setting to discuss LGBTQIA+ perspectives in Norway and the world today. So get the kettle on and make those waffles!
*This will be a digital event, and you can find the Zoom link here*
Meeting ID: 996 2046 6579
Passcode: v1Y4Py
This event will be one of three discussions that are part of Gender Awareness Week 2021, kindly supported and funded by The Centre for Women's and Gender Research here at UiT (SKK).
Norway is considered a progressive country when it comes to LGBT rights, becoming one of the first contries in the world to enact an anti-discrimination law explicitly including sexual orientation. Here we want to have an open and honest discussion about living as an LGBTQA+ person in Norway and the world today. Are we as progressive as we think? Do people feel free to truly be themselves?
The discussions will take place in English, but there will be an opportunity to ask questions and comment in Norwegian.
