Social coding in the age of open science

A talk and discussion about:

  • why and how to develop open software
  • collaboration and peer review using GitHub/GitLab
  • software licensing
  • software citation
  • how to publish papers about code
  • reproducibility of code

This is the first of a 2-part lecture series on open source coding to mark the International Open Access Week 2018. The course will be given by Radovan Bast, a senior engineer from the High Performance Computing Group at UiT and project leader for the CodeRefinery Project (coderefinery.org)

The courses will be given in English.
