Krasjkurs i presentasjonsteknikk/ Crash-course in oral presentation techniques

Kurset dekker grunnleggende prinsipper i kommunikasjon, retorikk, effektiv bruk av historier samt konkrete tips og triks om kroppsspråk, stemmebruk, effektiv bruk av visuelle hjelpemidler som power point og bruk av props. I tillegg demonstreres noen tekniske hjelpemiddel som bruk av presentørskjerm, hvordan kjøre foredraget fra mobiltelefonen, hvordan bruke film i foredraget – uten å være avhengig av internett med mer.

Kurset er åpent for alle.

Det vil også bli gitt informasjon om årets Forsker Grand Prix. Potensielle kandidater og veiledere oppfordres spesielt til å delta.

Kursholderne er Audun Hetland og Malcolm Jobling. De har begge vært mentorer for Forsker Grand Prix kandidatene fra Tromsø. Tromsø har vunnet 3 av 4 landsfinaler – og i to av disse med både første og andre plass.

Kurset er todelt. (10.00-13.00)

Del 1: 10.00-11.30 Krasjkurs i presentasjonsteknikk v/Audun Hetland    

1130-12.15 lunsjpause. Her vil det være tid til å diskutere med foredragsholderne samt få mer informasjon om Forsker Grand Prix.

Del 2: 12.15-13.00 Bruk av props v/ Malcolm Jobling.

We will cover basic aspects of oral communication and rhetoric, story-telling and include tips relating to body language, intonation and effective use of visual aids (e.g. power-point, videos and artistic props). In addition, there will be coverage of how to use various forms of hardware to make your presentation more effective.

We will give information about the 2018 Forsker Grand Prix, so potential participants (and their supervisors) are especially welcome to attend.

The course will run from 10-13, with a break for lunch:

10.00-11.30 Introduction to oral presentation techniques (Audun Hetland)

11.30-12.15 Lunch-break (with a chance to chat with the course holders and get information about Forsker Grand Prix)

12.15-13.00 Putting together a story, and telling it using artistic props (Malcolm Jobling)

Audun Hetland is a previous winner of Forsker Grand Prix and has been a mentor for Tromsø candidates, and Malcolm Jobling has acted as mentor each time Tromsø has taken part.

Tromsø has an enviable record in the competition; winners in 3 of the 4 national finals in which we have participated, with first and second place in two of these.
