GAZA: Martyrdom and Betrayal

In his talk, Prof. Norman G. Finkelstein will speak about his latest book, GAZA: An Inquest into Its Martyrdom (University of California Press, 2018).

Main focus of the presentation will be on the abandonment of Gaza by the human rights community and the misrepresentation of international law to extenuate Israel's crimes against the people of Gaza.

Finkelstein's lecture takes place at room B-1004 in the HSL-faculty building (SVHUM). The talk will be followed by a social event where light refreshments are served.

Norman G. Finkelstein received his PhD from the Princeton University Politics Department in 1988.  He is the author of many books, including THE HOLOCAUST INDUSTRY: Reflections on the exploitation of Jewish suffering, and KNOWING TOO MUCH: Why the American Jewish romance with Israel is coming to an end.  He is a frequent lecturer and commentator on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Prof. Finkelstein's visit is the result of an intitiative by the War and Peace Dynamics Research group (WarPeD).
