UiT bytter antivirusløsning / UiT replaces antivirus solution

ITA bytter leverandør av antivirusprogram. Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) vil innføres i løpet av denne uken for windows-maskiner, og for Mac OSX noe senere.

Underveis i den automatiske installasjonen vil man kunne få beskjed om at operativsystemet er ubeskyttet eller mangler  antivirusprogram. Dette er bare midlertidig og kan overses.

Da avtalen ITA har med McAfee går ut 25. juni, ber vi dem som har lastet ned og installert McAfee fra LiReg om å avinstallere programmet innen da. Microsoft Security Essentials kan lastes ned gratis herfra,

The IT-department replaces McAfee antivirus with Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection this week for windows computers, and for Mac OSX a while later.

During the automatic installation Windows might notify you that the computer is unprotected. This is only temporary and can be ignored.

Since the license agreement with McAfee expires 25. June, we ask those who downloaded and installed McAfee antivirus from LiReg to uninstall the program by then. Microsoft Security Essentials is available as a free download here.
